A Long Thought

For my blog assignment for the week of March second, I am tasked with writing a sentence of over one hundred words in length, which leaves me sitting here in bed on Sunday March eighth at eleven twenty at night, the weekend it is due,  clueless as to what in the entire world to write my extensive sentence about while being constantly distracted by my sick sister and mother discussing their plans for the next week, and worried that I might be forgetting in some possible way some small or easily forgotten task of which I have to do by tomorrow for school or risk diminishing my grades in any of my classes by several points.

My first Album

So for my English class this week, we’re supposed to write about the first album we ever bought and the story behind it. Welllll, for me this presents a bit of an issue as I haven’t ever really bought an album. For most of my life growing up I allowed my parents to choose the music I listened to and even after that, I listened to the music they or my older sister bought as it was often modern or, in my fathers case, rock.

This system worked for me until around seventh or eighth grade. It was then that I began to develop a taste of music of my own. Coincidentally, this is when I became decently proficient with computers leading me to the simple solution of pirating. The first album I ever pirated was, if memory serves, was Imagine Dragon’s “Night Visions”. The song “Radioactive” had become wildly popular and I had grown fond of the other songs on this album. Thus, the next logical step was to own the album. So, I got onto thepiratebay and pirated my first album. I still listen to the album from time to time, but my musical tastes have moved to other genres as well. My parents were okay with the music choices, the methods of obtaining my albums howver, they have issues with.
